A cult leader who’s currently eating a pear

“Head south for another 20 kilometers and you’ll get there. But it’s actually not that important if you arrive or not. Everything right now is restless and unknown, on the verge of singing, about to climax, about to spread out and then gradually calm down. You know how a durian smells once it gets overripe and explodes, that thud of a sound?”    “Mm.”    “And then it starts spinning upward, its skin like an atmospheric vein, a kind of awkward-looking dance. There’s not a lot of coordination in its body, but it’s one of those things that gets into its own world once it starts dancing, you know?”   “I know.”   “Just like how, prior to language, humans defined things by giving them nonverbal names, all of them floating confused and chaotic in the clouds, can you imagine?”   “I can imagine.”    “Getting acquainted with things in a dynamic way, accelerating along with the swinging movement. But it ends up stopping for an eternity because of this very acceleration.”    “I think I kind of know what you mean.”   “Let’s keep walking then. I’m feeling a strong urge to pee, I’ll probably have to make a stop at a tree for a while.”   “We can keep talking about this while you pee.”   “The day it appears, the chaos of the clouds will disperse.”   “When it appears, we’ll have to translate it into the  language of humans.”
